I knew something was fishy when the spokesperson at ADV said that the anime on Giant Robot Week would be uncut. It was just not possible as it would be a major risk for CN to pull off during afternoon hours. So who's fault was it? Did ADV intentionally or unintentionally lie to fans? Or, did Cartoon Network violate their contract with ADV?
I hope we get an explanation soon. I already own some of Evangelion, but I am only outraged at the fact that someone lied to us.

Nadesico had, I think, one line cut at most. Evangelion had two bad words, a translation, and a bloody hand cut. And that's it.
The real test will be what they show in tomorrow's episode, but dude. It's EVANGELION on CARTOON NETWORK!

From Kyle Pope's edit lists, it looks like Eva came through basically unscathed - but Nadesico got partly filleted. (I missed Nadesico, so I'm just going from his edit list.) Which is really rather weird.
Well, it's worse to establish an expectation but not live up to that expectation, as ADV did, than to establish a lower expectation and meet it professionally.
But yes, you're right, it is essentially Eva on CN!

I don't care about any stupid cuts! I may not have stated it clearly, but my point was that I don't like it when companies (ADV in this case) lies to its consumers. It's like Manga Ent. lying that 'The Wings of Honneamise' DVDs were not defective, in order to shut the consumers up.
