Astro Boy to get Butchered on Kids WB!

According to www.animenewsnetwork.com , Variety, and Animation Insider, the new Astro Boy TV series will premire on Kids' WB! No date has been set.

Kids WB will market the crap out of the series and make really stupid edits because they feel like dumbing down the show.

Why isn't Toonami getting these shows? They would certainly get more respect

He's got a legitimate complaint, ya know. Any anime that plays on Kids WB! is usually butchered or screwed up somehow, unless it's Pokemon.

Since there's already one anime on Kids WB that hasn't been butchered, why can't there be two?

I'd suggest waiting for the show to actually air before complaining about the way it's being treated on-air. Anything else just isn't

Why would they do that? Astroboy is essentially a kids' show, so there wouldn't be any need to do stupid edits.

Astroboy is kids-friendly.

Errrr.... Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon were kids shows, too, in case you forgot... Pokemon wasn't handled that badly, except the movies and the skipped episodes, but now that I think about it its existence preceeds it's running on Kids WB by about two years.

Who knows what they'll do to it? It seems a slightly strange choice TBH - I mean, most people know how the original Astroboy ends, and I suspect they'll go with the same ending this time round, which isn't going to be ideal kiddie fare I shouldn't think.

Kids' WB! also have Rockman EXE, don't they? I doubt they'll edit that much save for changing the voices/names (cue outcries). I mean, there's much less there to worry about compared to Cardcaptor Sakura.
