(Don't you wish that some fansubber made an 'omake tape' or 'omake CD' containing a bunch of omake that were left out of the US releases?)

I made this list because I am sick and tired of subtitle fans (or in a few cases, all fans) being treated as second class citizens, given shoddy product, late releases, and high costs.
The *most* common foulup on DVDs nowadays seems to be using the wrong openings and closings because the correct ones aren't available without kanji. Come on... no changes means *no changes*. If you have to use kanji, then use kanji.

It is episode 3 of the series. Please correct it.
Pioneer is rereleasing the movie as 'Secret of Mamo' on 7/25. Keep on the look out for it. It is listed as including a subtitled version.

I think the rule of translation is literal subs, fluid dubs. I've seen on DVD: Grave of the Fireflies, Cowboy Bebop: Best Sessions, Record of Lodoss War 1-13. RoLW had a toned down dub track, and CB:BS had a slightly dumbed down dub track. In both cases, the subs seemed to be good. In GotF, I think it was all good.
Do you think now that Bush is angering the world, more anti-American anime will be made?

It's not like the japanese are making any pro-american anime at the moment. Or ever, come to that. I doubt very much that it would make any sort of noticeable difference.

Why? The Japanese support us. I also personally know real people (as opposed to Media or government) from Germany and Australia who are of the opinion that We (americans) are in the right, despite what the media says about them.

This was fixed. However, the opening credits are edited to remove kanji. The original opening is included as an extra.
