People that are back from Otakon report a lot of fun and games. Read this post for one.

I couldn’t attend this year but am aiming for the next time.

Have you been there? If so I’d love to hear your stories.

Record Of Lodoss War - Deedlit’s Tale Vols 1&2 - A Real Shojo

 Deedlit’s Tale

You can find them on Amazon.com I’ve checked here the link to the first vol.

If you followed the Records Of Lodoss war you’ll have a lot to gain from reading the Deedlit’s Tale as it explains things that are relevant to the main story.

I’ve read Tiamat’s review and share his opinion that it is really classical Shojo and not really a very good one.

I don’t know about you but I love Shojo so I made the attempt to find if it is easily available on amazon and it is so I’m going to give it an objective girly reading.

Asking a man to write a review about Shojo is like asking him to like a romantic comedy on TV. There are just some things that are better left for the girls.

An American Story In Japanese Interpretation

me and the devil blues

It is not very common for manga stories to tell an whole American myths, but Me and the Devil Blues is certainly something else.

This is a development of the story of Robert Johnson and the Blues culture during the 1930 in the South.

RJ or so the story goes was playing so bad that the other musicians told him that the only way for him to become a real musician is to sell his soul to the devil.

The manga takes this as a starting point to a story that is not really based on the actual history but rather takes the impossible situation of a young black man in the rural south during the depression of 1930 and soar with it to him having to face supernatural powers much worse than the racism of those days.

Prospero’s Manga gave it 4 stars and I second her on it.

RenAi Blogger Released

RenAi Blogger

I wasn’t following the posts about developing the game but when Bluemist wrote a review that I happened to read I decided to give it a try.

If doujin visual novel games are your thing get the game it is very simple to download. If they are not you might want to check it anyway or at least the reviews, it does sound fun to create a game based on characters of real people you know and just be creative I’m afraid I don’t have the skill but you might.

You can download it from here.

Hiro Mashima, Some Facts

Gia has posted this video on her blog and I’ve to say if I thought he was a great artist before I admire him even more now after seeing him in action. He really draws so fast!.

On this post she gives a lot of information that you really should read.

I wish I was there in person but maybe next time.
