Oh, my.

What are these monsters all about? Three battles, with a harem/Arabian girl fighting a foot monster, an Indian (Native American-type... with a talking puppet~! no less) fighting some nose monsters, and our reticent lead role finally learning how to 'charm up' and fighting a set of... big ears???

I guess the 'otherworld' got ahold of a giant Mr Potato-head?

It is actually called 'Cosprayers', with an 'R'.

Maybe it's funny in Japanese.

But I doubt it.

Seems kind of pathetic to me. Like we have run out of ideas, so lets do a show about fans who dress up as characters in shows. W00t!!!!

My mistake. It's Cosp'r'ayers. The lead gal (Scarlet?) does the transformation thing ('Charm up!' and becomes a Superheroine Nun.

It's pretty bad, but in an entertaning kind of way... that's the advantage of 'cute girl' shows as opposed to mecha or period pieces... if the series stinks, you can still ogle.

Studio Wonderfarm (Hand Maid May) did an OVA series called Cosplay Complex, which is just that. Nice piece of fanservice fluff that's destined for my page. And yes, the female lead dresses as CBD May right at the beginning.

Hardly a new idea though. There have been cosplayers in a number of titles, for example Otaku No Video.

It does seem a rather strange idea, though, to do an anime about a form of otaku that tries to emulate, amongst other things, anime. Could this mean that anime will eventually eat itself?

In article

I thought it was a merger of Cosmopolitan & Prayers, like Pokémon was a merger of Pocket and Monster, but that's just me...

That's how the show parses it out, but given that the lead character *is* in fact a cosplayer, it's difficult to believe the pun was not intended.

Doesn't mythology hold that the Ouroboros represents the eternal cycle of the universe??

And anyway, anime about otaku has been done successfully before - see Comic Party...
