Which made almost $14 million, and only because it wasn't promoted at all, and was in theatres for about 12 minutes.

On the other hand, it has *owned* prime time on CN for years and has put up gargantuan merchandising numbers.

Except Spirited Away, which outgrossed Titanic.

Well, apparently the studios haven't figured it out yet, so yeah.

We already drew them a map. Maybe we should spell the words out loud too?

This is known as the logical fallacy of 'reductio ad absurdum.' It renders your premise invalid.

They did for Pokemon.

The marketing philosophy of 'half a loaf.' It doesn't work. Titanic couldn't have put up 'huge success' numbers on 19 screens. We now have conclusive, absolute, irrefutable proof that Disney was WRONG. They are making the exact same mistake Disney made.

I'm aware of both proof by contradiction and the fallacy of reductio ad absurdum. Here are the definitions of the fallacy:

This is the definition of proof by contradiction:
http://www.math.csusb.edu/notes/proofs/pfnot/ node6.html

Which is a neat trick, considering my premise is true. After you've studied the concept of a logical fallacy, look up the numbers for and then add together the fan bases for *just* DBZ and Sailor Moon. You'll find they run to well over nine figures. Then, consider that the anime rack at Suncoast is 20 FEET long.
