DBZ Ultimate Battle 22

The 'available here' version. What did they change? Is it all the awful speed-metal music?

If it's basically the Japanese version with English replacing the Japanese writing, I want to get it

They changed hardly anything except for removing the dialogue segments before the fights. Other than that, they just did a straight translation of the text (what little there was); oddly, while they changed 'Gogeta' to 'Vegeto', they left Mr. Satan's name untouched. There's no dubbing of the voices, and while I haven't heard the original soundtrack, I rather doubt it was changed.

I kind of regret getting it, though. I don't expect great games from anime licenses (Budokai was pleasantly good), but UB22 was really just awful. Much worse than either Legends or Final Bout IMO. Still, at least it's cheap.

I rather liked UB22. I've had it for years, but it was always a pain to play as I had to keep tricking the PSX into playing it.

Yes it was on the Super Famicom and the only reason I got Super Butoden 3 was for #18.

I thought that Legends for Playstation / Saturn was the best DBZ game. Is there any chance they will release Legends for Playstation in the US? I would like to play the game in English. I'm hoping that they will if UB22 is a retail success, which I'm guessing it will be. It's sold out around here.

I am so disappointed with Budokai. The lack of any real flying is the biggest flaw but there are plenty of others. They need to take a good third person game and turn it into a DBZ fighter for up to four players.

And what ever happened to Capcom vs Dragonball?

The same thing that happened to Dragonball AF; it was just a rumor. I do believe they were going to make a Dragonball or DBZ game. Whether or not it's still in development is anyone's guess.

It was something that someone on the internet made up and never really exsisted. Its called MUGEN if you really want that.
