Yes, I've also seen it on my Panasonic DVD player, I've had a disk of Devilman Lady, half of it will play on the Panasonic, but the last 4 episodes won't access, it ends up back at the main menu... but the disk plays fine on my computer DVD player, and on my daughter's Apex (which will play anything btw), it also wouldn't play on my son's Playstation 2. This was a second disk, replacement for the first one which did the same thing. Some DVD's just won't play on them... I don't know if it has to do with the way they are encoded or the particular material on the DVD itself. I've also had a disk of Crest of the Stars that would play on the Playstation, but not my Panasonic.. which also doesn't like SVCD's.. lol, it'll play them, but you have to run it in fast forward mode.. hard to watch that way.. but my daughter's Apex... will play anything.. I really wished when we first bought our DVD player, we'd of went with the cheap Apex... that is the best money I've ever spent, that little Apex.. spent over 3 times as much for my Panasonic... and if anything ever goes wrong with it, you can bet I'll be getting myself an Apex player... lol Oh, you might try wiping the disk off.. that might help.. it has on a couple of mine that wouldn't read or had some minor display glitches, or lightly filing the inside of the center hole... (which I haven't tried before, so use at your own risk.. lol)
