Yes, folks, Hayao Miyazaki wins his first Oscar, as SPIRITED AWAY takes Best Animated Feature, the very first Oscar awarded this evening. He wasn't there to accept it, however.
This is probably also the first time an anime film has won an Oscar

Considering it's only the 2nd Animated Oscar Award ever....
Or were you actually insinuating that any animated film actually win one of those other normal Award categories (post-Beauty and the Beast backlash notwithstanding)?
