Mark January 6, 2003 on your calendars as a sign of the Apocalypse. (or, depending on how *you* see it, another sign that otaku - or perhaps just fangirls - will eventually rule the world ^_^)

Last night around 9:10 PM, a gal (who's always hunting for Kaikan Phrase dojin auctions ^^ on ICQ notified me to look up 'yaoi' on eBay at that very moment (or at least within 45 min). So I went and did a search and came up with...

... '666' yaoi items found. ^^^

o_O

Even freakier is that among the items were non-anime doujinshi like <eeek> Harry Potter and <gack> Malice Mizer. >_<;;;

Just remembered: Actually, I made a great joke about yaoi at a showing when somebody who was talking out loud about it during a break pronounced the word wrong: 'No, no, 'yaoi.' 'Yowie' is what they say when it's actually happening!' That got a few laughs from the fangirls.

Watson Remember, 'yaoi' is an abbreviation of 'Yamete! Oshiri ga itai!' ('Stop! My ass hurts!'.

OK, 'another' sign of the Apocalypse. (picky picky...)

*This* is the main point anyway.

Oh I've known. Maybe it's some feeling I've got that it shouldn't be grouped in with anime-based yaoi... Probably that same feeling that makes otaku wanna separate 'anime' from 'cartoons.' Or maybe it's just its involvement with this 666 coincidence that makes its existence seem more evil than it already is.

OK, I'll admit to being a FOB about J-rock yaoi. ^^;; But that doesn't change the opinion I expressed above: WHYYYYYYYYYY??? (other than to take advantage of fangirls' purses ^_-)
