Is it possible that the R1 Kiki DVD would include both dubbed and subtitled versions on seperate video tracks? What did the letterboxed version on the bilingual Disney-laserdisc look like?

Why? The video is exactly the same no matter what dub is used. I suspect:
One video track Multiple language tracks (Jp/Fr/Sp/En) Multiple subtitle options

There are some hints flying around (like the frontpage news item on animeondvd.com that points to these pics) that Kiki and Laputa may have new English dubs. Of course, Disney hasn't provided any details at this point, so there's really no telling what's on the discs until they do.
If the dub does have added/different music, that will be part of the dub audio, and not part of the Japanese audio of course. I would be surprised to see an isolated music audio track, but in that case it probably would be the original audio version.

There was one insert song added at the very beginning when Kiki turns her radio on.
Whoop-dee-fricking-doo.

Yes, there are a few extra musical snippets here and there, part of the 'American's can't handle silence' idea. Same reason for the rescoring of 'Castle in the Sky'.[1]
I believe the latter (the mostly unheard 'Dawson' dub), but not the former since 'Kiki' already has a serviceable dub, why make another version?

Well, that and Jo never thought the limited-resource Nausicaa synthesizers in the first Laputa score was all that great, and wanted another go at it. Worked, too, says the experienced 57th St. veteran.
I think we can say that DVDFile is newer at this than AnimeonDVD.com, and, since they were unfamiliar with CitS already having a dub, meant to suggest that the other two 'now' have dubs to go with their original Japanese, just like 'Spirited'.
I DOUBT there's any legal trouble with Jack Fletcher that required going back to the studio booth, or we would have heard about any new casting from insiders by now.

Hihi everyone,
I went to Dallas and saw the dubbed 'Castle in the Sky'. It was wonderful!!! In the program book they listened the 'Dawson' dub, but for the life of me I could not tell which voice he played. This could mean two things, 1)He was not in the dub or 2) Since I have not watched 'Dawson' in like 4+ years I cannot match the voice.
Unfortunately they cut the film off at the credits and it took 3 minutes of grumpy fans to convince the cameraman to turn the film back on, but it was too late the voice credits already played.
The music was slightly edited, but it was different than the Kiki edits. 1)The Japanese choir sings for the opening and closing. 2)They were places of silence, much more than in Kiki. 3)The morning bugle sounded different, like in a different stereo or tone, but the same music.

There was a bit of added score, not much though. I don't think they took away/changed any though.

Disney's dub of the film uses digital overlays to change all Japanese text onscreen into English. My question was, would Disney use the original Japanese print of the film (with Japanese text on signs, buildings, etc.) or would they dump the print used for the dub VHS with the English overlays? If they decided to include both, would they use multiple angles or squwish two versions of the film on one disc? I'm worried.

He voiced Pazu. I suppose if a celebrity voice remains unnoticeable they're doing a good job?
