Eternal Sabbath sounds like exactly the kind of Magna for me. The review on the first eight volumes of what is going to be my next passion.
The first volume of ES introduces us to Shuro, a young man with the ability to read thoughts. Shuro uses the information he gathers from other people to impersonate their friends and family members, wiping their memories clean when he tires of the situation. A chance encounter with a brilliant neuroscientist, however, irrevocably alters his path. Dr. Mine Kujyou bumps into Shuro just as a man is being bludgeoned to death in front of a dozen horrified onlookers. Mine is shocked when no one remembers seeing Shuro saunter past the crime scene in a state of utter indifference, as if he knew what was about to transpire. Her researcher’s instinct piqued, she begins to track Shuro’s movements, initiating a game of cat-and-mouse that quickly escalates into psychological warfare.
I’ve bought all the eight volumes and can’t wait for more. It is one of the best magna I’ve read in a long time but I’m a horror and psychological warfare freak so it is a marriage made in heaven.
If you want to read links to all the manga news check Journalista as Dirk Deppey is doing a great service in gathering all the links to the magna news from the various blogs, I’ve reached many new reviews from their posts.
