I said this before but I am currently teaching English in Kawasaki in Kanagawa-ken Japan. I was recently watching episode 11 of KareKano. The three girls are waiting to take a train back home after an exhausting day. The train line they take is the Nambu sen and they are heading from Kawasaki to the direction of Noborito, Tachikawa (okay this is the only way to go considering that Tachikawa and Kawasaki are the Nambu sen's terminating stops.)
Anyway I live in Noborito and work in Musashi-Kosugi which means that I take the Nambu sen to and from work everyday. Anyone else have cool personal connections to an anime.

Thank goodness I got to visit it on several nonconsecutive occassions before this occured. You know destroying Tokyo Tower just isn't major news anymore.

Heh. Don't know if this counts, but I'm pretty sure I've walked past Faye Valentine's school at least once ^_^

Is there someone here that know when was the first time in anime where Tokyo Tower was destroyed?
I recall destructions from Goldar, Esper, they are old shows, but I don't think they can count as anime, I have seen other Tokyo destruction animes, but I think they were prior Tokyo Tower, maybe Gatchaman, but not sure.
Also, just for the real anime watchers: What anime has the record of how fast Tokyo Tower was destroyed?
E.g. if it was in the first episode, second episode, first half first episode. the series/movie first 5 minutes...
For this one, I don't have a clue.

I suspect that this isn't the record-holder, but it'll serve as a reference point to weed out some suggestions: In 'Phantom Quest Corporation', the Tokyo Tower is destroyed at the end of the first

In the 'Love Hina: Christmas Special', I've been to the place where Naru made her confession. However, that was in 1990 and it wasn't quite so fancy back then but Shinjuku (sp) was still very cool! I'd never seen giant, outdoor TV's before that.
