A TREE OF PALME - I've seen the ads but know essentially nothing about this anime movie Witch Hunter ROBIN Vol.3 - this is coming out too slow, I need fixes more frequently Rizelmine 8 [Regular Edition] - sure it's trash, but it's fun trash Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Gu Deluxe [OVA] 6 - the end of the OAV series Azumanga Daiou Vol.3 - even better at DVD quality Princess Tutu 2 (deux) - an even bigger addiction that Robin Chobits VOL.8 - last DVD ( I'm not buying the re-hash release ) RAHXEPHON Vol.9 - a killer to wait for, I finished the rest of the DVDs a week too soon

You should all go out and get the brand new Nuku Nuku DVD. It is beyond fantastical.

... Why? In theory, a big proffessional company has better access to translators and a greater chance of finding one for whom ancient Chinese characters isn't any problem (granted, that translator will presumably not be one that usually translates anime).

Right now, I only have the next Funimation Lupin III TV special on my buy list. Of course all the original Lupin TV episodes too. Uh... the Miyazaki releases from Disney. I haven't gotten My Neighbor Totoro yet so maybe I'll pick that up when I get the next Lupin TV Special.

Some of us already have the VHS! The VHS I say!! *shakes a small sake of oranges*

Why shouldn't they, the fansubbers have done all the hard work already! I do wonder to what extent the 'pro{s,d}ubbers' consult the fansubs after licensing a title.

Anyway, I'm waiting for KO Century Beast Warriors, when RightStuf gets around to it. Apparently they licensed it last year, as announced at a convention, but there's been no further word about it

Due to lack of money, EVERYTHING's on hold buying-wise at the moment. I've been buying Utena, KareKano and Arjuna, but I need to rebudget due to lots of stuff coming out I want to buy, unfortunately...

I'll probably stop KareKano for the moment, since we're watching it at AnimeSoc and it's a shorter series, split the cost of the Utena DVDs with my sister, and keep buying Arjuna when I feel rich enough. However, I've almost decided to make a half-decent (hopefully without too much of my bias) Arjuna website, and may need to invest in getting hold of the non-Director's Cut originals from Japan to compare and contrast (if they still sell them? Or were they just the TV broadcast, in which case it'll be fansubs.)

After these, I'm really looking forward to Brigadoon and RahXephon's forthcoming releases the most, apart from Juuni Kokki when Media Blasters release it which may take priority over everything ever... Witch Hunter Robin is almost certain to get licensed soon, and I'll definitely snap it up when it comes out as I purposefully stopped watching the digisubs towards the end to have a reason to buy it. Apart from that, I can't really think of anything... oh, I might borrow Magic User's Club volume 1 off a friend, it sounds great but I'm not sure.

Meanwhile, I'll be keeping up with three fansubs at the moment - Mahou Tsukai ni whatever, Wolf's Rain and .Hack//Dusk, which is extremely cute and fun.

I have the VHS too, but they redid the subtitles and such for the DVD. Plus DVD does not degrade with each viewing so it is vastly superior.
